This course discusses deradicalization in theory and practice. It covers attempts to achieve deradicalization with a focus and violent extremism among Muslim youth with a focus on experiences in various countries.

COURSE OBJECTIVES | LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- discuss the theoretical concepts of deradicalization
- identify societal factors facilitating radicalization and possibly deradicalization
- discuss cases and models of radicalization programs in various countries including successes and failures
- articulate appropriate recommendations for improved deradicalization programs.
