This course offers a bridge course for students wishing to pursue graduate studies in International Public Health at EUCLID, and who have been admitted to the program without an MD, RN or PA (or similar) medical degree. These students need to take a bridge course and it is assumed (per admissions requirement), but with adequate undergraduate studies in biology, physiology, etc.
Note: this is not a certificate course. It does not aim to prepare the student for any kind of medical competency, only for adequate in-take into further EUCLID International Public Health courses as part of the MIPH roadmap.Having completed the bridge course, the student is expected to have acquired the following baseline knowledge, conversation and credible at the graduate IPH level:
- Core knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Core knowledge of pathologies
- Medical “mindset”
- Core knowledge of PA/RN level medical practice including pharmacology and classification of diseases
- Basic knowledge of international medical classification / coding
